Ray starts with initial belly incision, which is typically required for rug mounts.
However, the rest of the procedures in the video can be applied to ANY bear mount, which is, how to split the lips, flesh the eyes & nostrils, turn the ears, skin out the paw pads & toes, removing the toe bones. The fleshing process is demonstrated using a fleshing beam, and then salting the hide, ready for the tannery. |
